i like the timing in the animation. However i think the kick up is really fast and looks a little floaty (almost flying rather than jumping up) maybe because of the lack of weight. may be you could add a more time to the anticipation in the kick up. you could also place the feet close to where he jumps up from so that they have less distance to travel (but that could also mess up the rest of the animation...hmmmmmm) i am sure you must have looked up videos on the internet. i found this video on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N24-KCBzpIA it is interesting to see how much he anticipates before he jumps up. He literally goes from a sitting position to laying back down to get enough momentum to jump back up. and then he also say that it is important to get your feet right under you or else you would go off balance.
I like that the character seems very excited and energetic. One small thing is that maybe you can add more frames when he kick up, so it will help him look more weighted.
@ saberi Thanks for the link i wish i had this before i did my own reference my own kick up had the same result. but for the sake of music and the scene i had to make him travel that distance to make use of the space. its more entertaining if he was moving around a lot because of my music .
@ Seung Jin yea i see what you mean but the time i spotted it was too late cause i have to get rid of previous frames to get more frames . so i basically got frame blocked there .
